Mayan is a Nashville-based bassist who cut her teeth playing along to ‘80s new wave and post-punk, fusing those melodic roots with the grit and aggression of punk and hardcore. Currently studying Commercial Music at Belmont University, she performs regularly with a range of artists across genres, from jazz and indie to pop and funk, while keeping her heart in high-energy punk shows. Often found holding down the low end in all-female and female-led bands, Mayan brings both power and artistic expression to every performance, and feeds off of highly energetic crowds.
